Nothing is better than discovering a new river on your own, with your own paddle strokes.
We rent rafts, inflatable kayaks, lifejackets/PFDs, wetsuits and splash tops, paddles and even coolers, and almost anything you need to enjoy the Colorado River in Glenwood Springs. We love to see people catch a ride on our free shuttle to Grizzly Creek on the Colorado River, bring a picnic lunch, then hit the beach and stop at the natural riverside hot springs on the way down while enjoying class II rapids. You can end at our riverfront facility where it all began, so you won't have a second ride back to you car to worry about! This popular route can take as little as 1.5 hours if you never stop paddling, but most folks make the most of it and take 3 hrs+ to complete the journey. It's a great day on the river, think 70 degree water, suntan, and a cool drink!
Rentals are also a great way to save, since rental fees are less than even our most modestly priced guided trip. Pricing starts at $35/person which includes raft or IK, paddles, PFD, and shuttle to the Grizzly Creek access point on the Colorado River.
*Since rentals are not guided, experience is required. Whitewater Rafting, LLC rentals are not permitted on the Shoshone section of the Colorado River and availability is always subject to river conditions for your safety. We do not rent tubes, stand up paddleboards (SUPs), oars, frames, or allow equipment on multiday trips.
